Curbside Delivery
Sausalito reportedly had curbside loading where the parklets are located today.
Remnants of yellow paint can be seen on the curb. No evidence is found identifying when this yellow curb was painted green.
History of Curbside Loading Zones
According to Teresa Ancona of Angelino’s restaurant, the loading zone was relocated when the parklets serving their restaurant was installed. Confirmation was not found in the related city council meetings in 2013 and 2016. The image below shows the 4 spots, replaced by the parklets, were metered parking and not loading zones.
This 2008 Street View shows 4 metered parking spots prior to parklet installation in 2015.
Until 2015, 15 Minute Loading Zones Existed
In 2015, 15 Minute Loading Zones were available possibly for a historic dry cleaning business.
These spots were not exclusively for commercial loading.
By 2015 the loading zone was converted to metered parking until 2020 parklets installed.
